Save BBC Radio 6 Petition
BBC radio 6 is a damn fine station and it’s looking very likely that Mark Thompson (head of BBC) is closing it down.
Fellow music lovers, please take a moment out of your day and sign the petition. 100,000 signatures are desired with around 45,000 being collected so far.

i bought a DAB radio with the sole intention of accessing BBC Radio 6. If this channel was available on FM then audiences would be far higher. Likewise, when more people move to DAB, so the audience will increase on BBC Radio 6. Low listening figures therefore do not reflect on the quality of this station.

I listen to Marc Riley every night unless I’m hanging upside down in some venue.

We need Radio 6. Breakfast show with Shaun is the most lively, intelligent and funny show available. Forget Chris Evans… And the music is diverse, original and constantly introduces the listener to new bands/artists (unlike the usual play lists). Having lost the wit and banter of Sir T, we NEED Radio 6 and the brilliant line-up of fresh DJs
