Bad Precedent are characterized by high energy performances, driven by powerful riffs and creamy harmonies that have become the staple of their gigs. Created by Frontman/Guitarist Jamie Suffield and borne out of a frustrated obsession with the music that surrounded him, Jamie was soon joined by Lee Jones on Bass. Guitarist Ian Johnson and Drummer Dale Ellis followed suit to complete the line up of this Classic Rock Quartet diversely influenced by bands such as Led Zepplin, Black Stone Cherry, Big Business and Biffy Clyro.
BP have moved from strength to strength following the launch of their EP ‘Hold Out’ in the summer of 2009, which also included ‘Cheap Smoke N Lies’ and ‘Come Back Home’. Bad Precedent have toured many of the top venues in the North West such as O2 Academy Liverpool, Manchester Academy 3, The Cavern, Moho Live, Barfly Liverpool. After taking some time to themselves at the back end of 2009 to start work on an Album, BP are planning a 2010 summer tour. ‘Lucidity’, the first track off the Album will be released for general sale to coincide with these summer dates. Talks are also currently ongoing with venues and promoters for a US tour.
The bands intentions have been well received in Hollywood with a review in SugarBuzz magazine. Bad Precedent were described here as ‘…pure Rock and Roll, just as god would have planned it…’ There have also been reviews in Soundcheck magazine, the Burnley Express and the Liverpool Echo, where the band were described as being like an early ‘…Metallica meets Black Sabbeth…’

Saw these guys at the Krazy House last Friday (5th March) and they rocked! Completely stole the show! Can’t wait to catch them again!

Bad Precedent kick ass! Saw them earlier in the year and got a copy of their Hold Out[EP] and the Lucidity[Single] Foo Fighters watch your back!

I’ve seen Bad Precedent on many occasions, through various line ups and changing members – Now with their most recent Lucidity single and line up I can only see shows becoming even more powerful. Definitely eager to see them in the future.
